Iran War Powers: The House passed H.Con.Res.93 (220 204), which directs the President, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution, to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran.
Sanctioning Russia & Iran: The House passed H.R.5334 (262-159), which establishes extensive economic sanctions against Russian entities, including revoking U.S. visas, banning Russian sovereign debt purchases, and imposing 100% tariffs on goods imported from nations that are among the top five purchasers of Russian energy or among the top five enablers of Russian sanctions evasion, and it extends the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 until 2031.
Digital Asset Market Clarity: The Senate failed to move forward on H.R.3633 (49-50), which establishes a regulatory framework for digital commodities, defined by the bill as digital assets that rely upon a blockchain for their value. The Senate needed 60 votes to move forward to debate the bill.
