Here are some recent numbers that demonstrate why this humanitarian crisis must be addressed immediately.

50 – days since President Trump requested emergency funding to address the crisis at our southern border.

1,000 – migrants apprehended at our southern border in a single group on May 29th, a new record that more than doubles the previous record set only two days before that.
56,000 – unaccompanied children apprehended by Customs & Border Protection just this fiscal year, a 74% increase from the year before.
144,000 – total apprehensions just in the month of May, the highest in 13 years.
